MindSight® Direct is a technique that represents a substantial advance in emotional measurement. The method utilises the ‘Emotion Discovery Window’ where responses are captured 200-800 milliseconds after exposure to subject material – before reactions are edited by rational thought.

By putting the power of emotion directly at their fingertips MindSight® Direct enables marketers to create brands with stronger emotional engagement.

How it works…

In practice, MindSight® Direct is an interactive set of picture and word exercises carried out online among participants from your target customer group. You provide the test material (e.g. a new product description, pack design, advertising concept or new website layout) which are seen by respondents as they are taken though a set of exercises.

The well-proven model behind MindSight® Direct is founded on extensive psychological research and testing. In the results it profiles nine emotional (non-rational) ‘motivations’ that underpin respondents’ reactions to subject material.

What material do I need to provide for the test?

Anything that adequately describes the subject in a two dimensional format:
advert artwork, packaging artwork, product description

Sample requirements?

In a B2C market we recommend a minimum sample of n=140 to provide meaningful results, larger if possible.
In B2B market this could still work with n=50.

Reporting requirements?

Do you need an in-person presentation workshop or will a pdf report by sent by email (with follow up phone call) be sufficient?
